Office Policies and Warranties

Your satisfaction is extremely important to us. We will do everything reasonably possible to help ensure that you are happy with your examination, eyewear, and contact lens purchases.

  • Understand your benefits Review medical and vision coverage with your employer or insurance provider before your visit.
  • Know your responsibility Patients are responsible for services or materials that insurance does not cover.
  • Custom eyewear policies Prescription lenses and used frames are custom products and are not eligible for refunds.
  • Support after purchase Warranty, remake, exchange, and contact lens support may apply under the terms below.

Coverage and Billing

Insurance Responsibilities

Medical and vision plans can both cover eye care and may sometimes be used together, depending on the services provided and your plan rules.

  • Discuss coverage questions with your employer's human resources department or insurance provider and determine the extent of your medical and vision benefits.
  • Our office must follow each insurance company's rules. We cannot modify coverage, effective dates, eligibility, or benefits unless authorized by the insurance company.
  • You will be billed for services or materials your insurance company does not cover. You are ultimately responsible for your account balance.
Purchases and Remakes

Eyewear Policies

  • Our office does not issue refunds. Eyeglasses are custom-made for each patient, and suppliers do not refund the cost of completed lenses or frames that have been used.
  • If you are unhappy with your glasses for any reason, we will remake them one time in a frame of equal value within 60 days of the original order date.
  • Most frames in our office include a one-year manufacturer-defect replacement warranty.
Lens Protection

One-Time Lens Replacement

We will replace eyeglass lenses one time for one of the following reasons:

  • Customer satisfaction within 60 days of the original order date.
  • A doctor's prescription change within three months of the original order date.
  • Scratching or chipping within six months of the original order date.
Contact Lens Support

Contact Lens Policies

  • Free shipping is available when ordering four or more boxes of contact lenses.
  • We will provide an office credit or exchange for unopened contact lens boxes if your prescription changes during the life of the original prescription.
  • We can supply a pair of trial contact lenses if you run out before your next exam or while waiting for an order to arrive.
  • Additional manufacturer rebate savings may be available when purchasing a six-month or greater supply.
